Pharm B is awesome!!!!!

Best quote in the history of SDN by Pharm B:

SDN is not for homework help.

I have been bitching about this for years! Lazy students who get on here and post thier homework questions hoping to get by the easy way.

Good for you Pharm B!

Come on man, that last thread about plasma renin didn't seem like homework to me.

I have to agree. Even if it was, if you don't like it, don't post. No need to go around locking every thread you can find an excuse to.

Homework or not, I like threads like that. I've learned things here before I learned them in school that way, and besides, if you look at threads like that, very seldom does someone ever just straight up give the answer. Take the plasma renin thread. Aboveliquidice didn't just come out and give him the answer; rather, he gave him hints as to what he should be considering to get to the right answer.

Yep, some of these threads are legit discussion based learning.

I'm going to agree on the renin thread. I would have liked a discussion on the finer points of ACEIs and RAAS. Who cares if someone might get homework help if it helps others learn. Besides, that didn't seem like a homework question but rather something that was confusing the OP. I'm sure we've all had things that we just didn't quite get at first that we want to know for our general knowledge.

No! Now this thread will have to be closed as well....

I agree. I would say it's more likely that the student was studying for an exam and was confused about that concept. Vastly different from "homework help" (side note: do other pharmacy schools actually assign questions and problems from a textbook in classes like Pharmacology and P&T?)

I know you are, honey. But I don't mind. 😉

The renin thread is going to be reopened, mostly because I want to know the answer to the question. So I hope everyone who's been complaining in this thread heads right over there to educate me. 😀
