They really only except students from Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho. They are called WWAMI students.

However, you can get into UWash out-of-state (out of WWAMI) if you apply for MSTP.

i got a secondary and i'm out-of-state (CA).

yeah, i'm expecting it... i have no interest in rural medicine or primary care which is their thing, either. but i wonder if the aamc data showing that a third of the class is out-of-state is wrong. i'm almost positive this can't be right based on what i hear from my friends who applied there last year as non-residents.

I bet you that the one third is from Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho. Plus a eight or ten MSTP student. Just my guess, according to the MSAR - less than 20 students weren't from a WWAMI state in the last entering class, and at least half are probably MSTP.

We're so po', we can't afford the 'or.'

Is the secondary snail- or e-mailed?

I didn't get invited either, and I managed to get a really good MCAT score. Oh well, my first rejection.
