When choosing my rotations I did not think things thoroughly and chose a site of state. I do not know anyone in that state and I am a little scared of being there alone. I know they are not taking other students and it is too far away from home to drive back all the time. What tips can you guys offer to get me through this? Such as safety (I am female) and other pointers. I have never been so far away from home alone!

Where are you planning to live? You should contact the site if you haven't figured that out. At my job pharmacists have let students stay with them - that may be a good option for you.

enjoy yourself! during my 4th year rotations i made it a POINT to travel out of state for rotations, I even set up an international rotation myself! I looked back all my years in school and never really traveled or studied abroad and I regreted it so I made the most out of it, I had the best times during those rotations, just go out and meet new people and have fun! 🙂 I still wished that I traveled more during my undergrad years and 1st few years of pharm school 🙁

As an aside, don't forget to get an intern license for that state.
