Over the past few months, I have narrowed down the pharmacy schools I will apply to in September. Obviously, tuition is a major factor in these decisions, especially for out-of-state schools.

My main question is which of the major pharmacy schools in the U.S. have out-of-state tuition waivers? How do they usually work? Do they all work in a similar manner?

It depends on the schools.
Some schools have the same tuition for both in-state and out-of-state students.
Some schools may require you to pay the out-of-state tuition the first year and then allow you to pay in-state tuition if you can establish your residency in that state.

It's hard to determine. Based on your username, you are actually in a good position if you are from Florida. Might want to focus on the in-state public schools Florida has to offer because those tuition prices aren't that bad compared to the rest of the country like New York, Massachusetts, Tennessee, and California. Make the most out of it because establishing residency in another state is gonna be additional work and it might not be guaranteed.

My school won't let me get in-state tuition even if I did establish residency in my respective state. 🙄

Ohio state grants instate residency after the first year. UNC Chapel Hill does the same last I checked. May be worth looking both schools up to figure out the process.
