Hey all,

I am really concerned about something. I know some schools frown upon international outreach programs because some students perform procedures that should not be done at all. However, I did include what I did do at the my outreach program in my application and briefly had one paragraph about my genuine experience and feelings at that site and how it contributed to my decision to pursue dentistry. Do you think this will have any bearing on my candidacy for dental school? Am I somehow put at a disadvantage???? I'm truly upset and disappointed at myself.

Apply to Loma Linda University, they are all about service learning and international outreach. One of their mottos "service is our calling" I think conveys that. And they offer tons of trips to students to go do dentistry just like you have.
