Sorry. I should have said international applicants to OVC in my post. We received an email letter from the dean about six weeks ago stating that we would be hearing about interview invitations in the beginning of March. It is now the middle of the month, and no one seems to have heard anything. I guess all we can do is wait. Maybe they are running late this year.

The international invitations will go out at the end of March, and the interviews will be held in April and May. I found this out today through the admissions office.

Hi...here it is April already and still no word on OVC international interviews. I hope we hear something soon! I guess the Canadian schools do the interviews much later than the US ones.

I didn't apply this cycle but a good friend of mine did (international) and he hasn't yet heard anything.

also, I'm guessing by your username that you go/went to Vassar? I graduated in 2007. 🙂

Hello-Someone on the official interview invite thread has said that OVC has started to send out their invites for international applicants. I haven't heard anything yet. Has anyone else?

I received my interview invitation yesterday via email. They are still going through applications so i think they are offering interviews as they review them. They interview 20-40 individuals depending on the quality of the applicants. They hold up to 15 seats for international students. My interview is next Wednesday, wish me luck!

Hi Vassar Girl-I believe that Shibainu had an interview was accepted, and Senior Spartan has had an interview. I emailed the admissions office asking about the rest of us (that was on Tuesday), and I received a reply that we'd be hearing something "soon". I will post if I hear anything. The waiting is hard, isn't it? Fingers crossed!

The interview went really well. It is a great place and I was accepted. Good luck to all those still waiting to hear back. Waiting is painful but it's definitely worth it.

Congratulations Spartan Senior on your acceptance to OVC! Have you made your decision to attend? I still haven't heard anything about an interview myself and wonder if any of the other international applicants have. It seems to be getting a little late in the cycle, though, doesn't it?

Hi Vassargirl,
In fact I emailed admissions just this morning to ask about the status of my application. Ms. Lowenger emailed back with a generic reply stating that only students who have fulfilled the prerequisites are invited for an interview. I then emailed her back that I had, indeed, fulfilled the prereqs, so I'm waiting to hear something further from her. I know that OVC never seems to fill all their international positions, so I'm wondering what is going on at this point. I will post if I hear anything further.
