ok so i know that nutriton classes are included in this gpa, but do they look at the course title as well? the reason that i'm asking is because one of my classes is given through the nutrition department but is called Nutrition: Intro to Public Health Nutrition. Would they still count this as in my science gpa? I also have taken another nutrition class that was titled "Food Science," but that too was through the nutrition dept.

Isn't nutrition considered science? We have a nutritional science major here at Cal, so I wonder why it wouldnt be considered as a science course?

yeah nevermind, i was just a bit weary of the class since it had Public Health in it's title, which NOT counted as science. i called up the people at ADEA and asked. They said that it's fine.

So do they just accept the regular nutrition class (hun1201 in most places). Or are there a few others too? Thanks!

No matter what you classify the course when you enter your coursework into AADSAS, they will go over it and recategorize anything they feel doesn't fit where you put it. I had a course titled How Things Work, which was a "freshman seminar" writing class - everybody at my school had to take one of the freshman seminar classes, of your choice, and How Things Work was a science related one (classified as "natural science") ... biweekly 10+ page papers on, well, how things work in this world. (They started the Freshman Seminar program the year I was a freshman. I think it was intended to weed out the weak :meanie: ) ... anyway long story short, I classified it as science when I entered my grades and that A would have helped my sGPA even just a tad, but nooooope, AADSAS says it is a non-science regardless and they took the liberty of reclassifying it as such for me when calculating my official AADSAS GPA 🙂

Lucky for me I didn't take anything they consider "science" until 2007, except for Physics, which I got an A in.

So the 3.0 I had in my undergrad can count as regular, and the 3.9 I have in sciences can't hurt.
