I recently heard of a couple of dentists who own a few clinics and are looking into the possibility of owning as many as TEN clinics in the long run. 😱 :wow:

I was just curious to see how many dentists out there in private practice own multiple clinics, how many partners they have, how much time they devote to actual dentistry practice, how many time they devote to managerial issues, and how many years it took them to get to the point where they own so many clinics?

Thanks for your replies !

i'd ask this on Dentaltown. no one here knows anything.

Thanks, Jone. I don't think you should be too sarcastic and conclude that "no one here knows anything" because even though there are a lot of dental students on this site, some of these students happen to know dentists (even have dentists relatives) and some dentists even browse this site.

In California the maximum number of practices one dentist can own is 2. There are probably ways around this.
