Can someone explain these to me? I haven't taken stats so I am having a hard time understanding all the p-value questions. Can someone explain the concept to me or recommend a good website? The destroyer explanation is not good.

A drug company states that their new antibiotic drug, aguilar, will produce adverse reactions in only 12% of the population. It is found that out of a sample of 10 patients who took Aquilar, 4 patients exhibited adverse reactions. The probability that 4 or more patients would experience adverse reactions is 2.4%. If the null hypothesis is that the drug company's claim is true, which of the following best represents the data?

B. At a 5% significant level we would reject the null hypothesis.

A standard math test administered to the high school students in Louisville and the average score of the city school is 87. Mayor Null then takes a random sample of the junior class scores from the survey and calculates their average to be 77. Mayor Null would like to believe that there is a no significant difference in the performance of the Juniors as compared to the rest of the Louisville population. But Commissioner Alternative says that the Juniors lag behind by a significant margin. More random samples of the Louisville scores are taken and it is found that 12% of the time, the average score of the sample is 77 or less. Based on a 5% level of significance and the interpretation of the p-value, what can be concluded?

B. Since 12% is greater than 5%, it cannot be stated that the juniors are performing less well within the given threshold.
