Hey everyone-

I was wondering if any of you could shed some light on how quickly the application process moves in DO schools as opposed to MD. I'm wondering because I will only start to send in secondaries during the next week, and I want to know how long I'll be waiting for a response. I've been waiting over 3 months for the MD schools I've applied to, and I hope it won't be the same issue with DO, but I guess I'll have to put up with it if that's the case. Anyone wanna help me? Thanks!

Dave

The waiting game isn't much different from MD schools. Unfortunately with the winter break coming up soon a lot of adcoms will be going on break too. Don't let that discourage from completing your secondaries quickly though because I can't speak towards every single admissions committee. It certainly can't hurt to get them in ASAP.

Who knows, you could be complete one week and get an interview offer the next. Waiting can certainly create anxiety, look in specific school threads for more info on secondary waits and alike. Use those threads to get started on your secondary essay prompts too 🙂

The timeline is different for each school. Check the school specific threads for more information about the schools to which you applied.

They are both a lot slower than you would like em to be ...
