I have been accepted to both Pacific University in Oregon, and The University of Southern Nevada. I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on which one would be a better choice. I am talking about housing, lifestyle, and of course which school might be better. I haven't really talked to Pacific University, but I read somewhere that its curriculum will be just like USN's. All I want to do is get through school and after I graduate work in retail, so I assume they both would be great schools for doing that. I just want to make sure that I have thought of everything before I decide where to move. Any of your thoughts would really help out.

Congrat! Can I ask you a question?
How and when did USN notify you on your acceptance???

after reading your post, i'd like to comment. i just got accepted to USN as well, and pacific. pacific is a good school, they laid out their plan pretty well and they were welcoming. on the other hand though, i was very impressed with USN. USN is accredited and they have a solid foundation in vegas with all the clinical sites and a great established faculty. i live in california, i am trying not to be biased, but location wise USN is great. vegas is vegas ... sure i'll study, but i want to enjoy my surroundings as well.... oregon is cool too, but i'd rather go to the strip and enjoy the entertainment on my freetime instead of being in the suburbs of portland; the weather is not my cup of tea in oregon and i'm just not use to living in a sparsely poplulated area, such as hillsboro. USN is well established already so i would not worry about accredation stuff, and overall, it just fits me better. hope this helps and good luck on your choice.

WOW! Congrats to both of you!

I also interviewd with USN in January(21st) and I'm curious to know when you both had the interview & also how and when you both got notified of your acceptance.

May I ask when did you interview with USN? I had interview w/ USN on Feb 13th and have not hear anything from them yet. And your GPA? 🙂

USN is 3 years, I am not sure about Oregon though. Maybe that should be taken into consideration...

i've been getting a bunch of PMs on my stats and when i interviewed... i interviewed early january and i have a 3.85 overall GPA... 3.9 science ... overall the interview went well i suppose; i felt like i explained myself pretty well... i have a lot of pharmacy experience which may have helped and a bachelor's in psych ... 4 years as a technician at a retail setting ... good luck again to everyone, i'm sure you all did well, hopefully i'll see you all in the fall

WOW!!! You really were the most qualified student for USN!
Now, I get the ideas what kind of students does USN look for! 👍 Again, congrat on your acceptance!

Congrats again to you and jasonled on being accepted. I, and I bet everyone else who had an interview at USN, is wondering when you had your interview, and how long it was after did you receive your acceptance. Also, are you're stats with or without academic forgiveness? i was just wondering if that mattered or not because my stats are based off the AF. Also, i know you mentioned that you did well in your interview, so I was just wondering how long your interview lasted? Sorry for all the questions. I'm just going crazying waiting for a word from them and my other schools. Any information is great. Thanks...

When and how did you get notified of your acceptance to USN? I had my interview on January 18th, and didn't hear from USN yet.
