Finshing up CA1 year, when do you start to typically apply to programs?

When do interviews start and do programs ever pay for your airfare or hotel expenses?

Typically people apply around June of CA2 year or July of CA3 year.

If you are from out of state usually places will pay for hotel. I havent heard of one that pays for airfare. Then again, I'm still in the "process" so maybe there are ones out there.
