What do you consider normal vs bad enough to move your needle? For me if the patient can calmly discuss their pain ("ooh I feel that Doc") I proceed.

Try injecting more slowly first. Also keep the ultrasound on the site with a good view of the needle and make sure you're not in the sheath.

Location and nature of pain. If shooting down arm or leg as electrical, good time to pull back.
