Palliative Care Rotation

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Doing a palliative care rotation through the anesthesiology department in a couple weeks and was wondering what books and/or topics would be good to read up on.

too bad no one has replied to this. i have been perusing the world of palliative care as well. there are some good you tube videos you can find by typing in "portenoy". Dr. Portenoy at Beth Israel has a bunch of videos posted of his talks with fellows and family medicine residents. also there is alot of pdf files on the American Academy of Pain website under the library tab. they sum up the research that they base their conclusions on for proper pain management. if anyone has any other insight i would love to hear it as well. best of luck to you on your rotation...

if possible, i would love to hear your insight gained from your rotation.
