ok...so im still on the waiting list at ccom...i have secured a lease up in chicago because i am going up anyway to take classes at midwestern if im not accepted...but here is my new dilemma...im moving up there to prove that i can do it, and that being a dr. is really what i want in life...will the admissions com. understand that as a post bac we are financially strapped and that we may only be able to afford a totoal of 18 credit hours? After doing my budget for next year ( if not taken off the ccom waitlist) i can really only afford to take 9 hours a semester and still be able to eat and live!!!! will i look like a slacker to the adcom? any advice would be greatly appreciated!!! thanks

HoosierDO:

Are loans an option for you, or is it too late?? With loans maybe you could afford more credits. Anyway, I believe the adcom will see your enthusiasm and be impressed. I know I am. If I were in your shoes I would do exactly what you are doing. Plus, if you happen to not gt in this year, I have been told by many people that reapplying always looks good to CCOM's adcom. Just some words of advice and hope for you! I hope things go your way and we start school together this year!! Best of luck! 🙂

thanks for the advice...i have borrowed the max amount of 30 grand...but 17 of that goes towards tuition if im full time, which doesnt leave much to live on in chicago as you know!!! hopefully i wont have to worry about it...still nerve racking
