Hello everyone-I'm in the unenviable position of having to get SIX transcripts into AACOMAS to get verified. I requested five of them on May 5 (via mail, with the appropriate printed out AACOMAS request form included along with request forms specific to each university) and one on May 7 (getting that university form took me a while). Only one has arrived, and that was on May 13. I got an email from AACOMAS telling me it arrived and I can also see it arrived when I am logged into my application. At what point should I start freaking out that no one is doing anything with these transcript requests? Should I call the universities and pester someone? (I also requested transcripts for AMCAS the same way and am having the same issue on that end -- only the one (same school) has arrived so far.)

My second question relates to LORs - I am very geographically restricted and am only applying to one DO school. I am getting a committee letter and letter packet from my undergraduate institution-should I just have them send it directly to the school if and when I get a secondary? If it changes anything, my undergrad is helpful but not accustomed to supporting people in applying to osteopathic schools.

Any advice and thoughts much appreciated!

Well its only really been 8 business days since you submitted your requests. Some schools have anywhere from 1-10 business days of processing time especially around the time final grades are being released (which is this month for most schools). Then there is the time in shipment which can take up to 7 business days. If I was you, I would call up each of those schools and find out if they have sent it and specifically what date it was sent. From there you can decide whether it has been long enough. There is a possibility of it getting lost in the mail in which case you would have to order it again.

As for the LOR, I would recommend using interfolio. I'm not sure if your committee sends letters to interfolio but if they do then you can have the letters saved on interfolio's servers and send it to any school you like (in case you change your mind and decide to add more DO schools later in the cycle)

Thank you! I will definitely call tomorrow (too late on the East Coast already) and figure out where things stand with the transcripts.
