Part time job or research project for a Medical student (online)

I am a Medical student and I am interested in doing some kind of part time job or collaborate in a research project from home. I used to work with a neuroscience research group online and it really was a great experience and super useful for my career and to improve my CV. I would like to know if any of you have heard of any research opportunity like this, or any kind of online job for medical students. Thanks 🙂

If you want to work on research remotely and "improve your CV," find a mentor from your school who will let you work on a case report or a review article.

I am from the UK, and even if it sounds weird I have collaborated in research projects from home!! Of course, they were research projects organised by my medical school but people from other schools could also participate. We had to analyse data and MRI images so we could work easily from our laptops! That's why I was asking if there is something like that in the US.

These sorts of projects certainly exist, but barring some kind of connection to a US-based lab or mentor I'm finding it hard to believe that any PI would be willing to start working with you out of the blue.

Any working a part time job or collaboration with a PI in research will most likely have to be in person. Although data analysis can probably be done at home.
