I will be enrolling in masters in environmental epidemiology this fall. Do you think it is feasible for me to work part-time my first year?

Depends on the program. Columbia: not during the first semester. GW: You could work full-time and graduate in two years. A couple of my graduating classmates did that (they amaze me).
