I am new to this site and it took a while for me read all the posts on this site.......so i am kind of aware of what to read and what not for part1 exam....i have the decks ,old exams and the kaplan book with me.....
i am looking for a female who is ready to seriously study for part1 and is appearing for part1 on july 11th...I am gonna start fresh from today.so let me know if any one is interested.....

but how far i will be able to finish these i have no idea.....

I am planning to take CBT some time in the august,i haven't yet started bcos i am taking toefl on 4th of may and will be starting after that.I have reffered Lippincots,its certainly is a good book.As far as DA is concerned ,i have reffered Wheeler's too but, i am finding difficult in answering tooth movements questions.Don't know where to study those topics from..........?What topics are u studying in Biochem?Are u studying from kaplan notes or lippincots?I found lippincots too vast.

even i prefer paper based but what did u take last time cbt or paper based.

i am retaking the exam too...i took cbt first tiem and scored 85....i didnot get into any school with my score...so i am retakign the test...well i am currently aiming at july11th b ut i ams ure i will not be able to finish eveyr thign by july....so may be i will take in august too....
i dont want to rush thru eveyrthign ....will take enough time to prepare...........
am doing micro path right now....how far have u guys finished?

hi pony,
i am doing physiology right now...i wish we were doing common subjects so it will make sense when we discuss n will be useful...i will try my best to finish physio by the week end...then we can catch up with some common subject.
since i am doing physio do u have any tips u can share.
like which are the chaps we can expect more ques?? in or any thing which u feel will be helpful to me.
i had this prob while doing endocrine sys i concentrated on all the functional stuff abt hormones but when i started answering i saw many questions about the chemical structure!!!
i hope we can help each other and get us thro'....

I had taken paper based exam ,and am planning to take CBT in the month of august.I haven't started preparing yet and will be starting from thursday,i feel july is early for me.If you are strong at basics you may need 3 months,if not depends on your pace of reading.
What review books are you refering ?

it happens some times!!! some times when i dont do well while revising i almost loose interest...but then i feel it just means i need to put in more hours n more effort....
dont u worry about the time u wasted...just stay motivated!!!
i have finished college 4 months back and i already miss working on patients...for how long are we going to sit at home...so we need to finish it...either hard harder or hardest!!!
i will be done with physio in a week and half!!!
lets start discussing slowly!!! 👍

hey all am new to this thread. I read all your previous posts and since this thread deals with people who are gonna take NDB1 I decided to join it. I had planned on taking my exam in last week of this month but I realised the time was not enough.I think i ll take it in first week of june. Let me share a few things that I learned during my preparation-
Do not divert your focus, decks and released paers are key to success. For Anatomy I did decks alone but did them atleast 3 times and I was scoring 87% avergae on the released paers. This sure will increase on the exam since its a percentile.
I am not saying dont refer any other books. I used chaurasia, wheelers, first aid and google ofcorse but these should only be used as an adjunct to your decks. to clarify topics that decks doesnt explain well ex, one step growth curve in virus multiplication.
Read decks-repeat-repeat-repeat - till you know each word on each page. you will see that u do better on released papers.
Mark the questions on released paers that u didnt answer right or have trouble understanding.If you have time try finding the reason behind the answers if not mug em.During last few days go through these questions again and do not forget them

i am so glad pony started this thread and we are so many now.
wouldnt it be great if we do some combined studies...
like we can select few topics, set a time table, we all can decide on what all to finish...like decks, kaplan and any study material we have and then discuss which ever we find difficult...help each other with it!

if u have any better idea for discussing..plz come up with it...or it will be difficult for us to help each other.

to do this i want to know...

when are u all planning to take up exam?
we shud have a common subject which will make it easy to discuss and clear doubts?

What is Kaplan DA ? Does anyone know Kaplan notes? Is it the same as Qbank? Should I buy access to Qbank?

Anyway, I'm new here even though I know sdn for long. I just started my preparation for cbt part1 and will take the test on July 15. I read through dental decks once, but I almost forget it 🙂 Please help with your experiences. Thanks! BTW, is there anyone from San Jose, CA?

I read thru ur posts and lets start with anatomy.so i guess there are 34 chapters in kaplan (I am using 2004 edition) and there quite a number of decks on anatomy....and old exams aswell.......
