pass or no pass class

I am going to take HIstory classes which is requirement for general education.
For the grading option, I want to do P/NP because this class is pretty tough and I don't want my GPA to go down...
But my question is...
Is it going to affect my eligibility to get into dental school?
Are they going to ask me why I did P/NP?
I heard some schools don't like P/NP is that true???

i dont think it would make that much of a difference, especially since its just a GE course. But of course the adcoms know that there is a reason why someone would choose P/NP but if its just one or two classes then I dont think it would matter too much

i took a ge course p/np when i was abroad and wasn't ask one question about it. and f they do ask, say you took it for personal enrichment

no one asks as long as you don't get an np...i was a chem minor and took an upper level chem class pass/fail (i bombed one of the exams because i had an interview the day before and was late coming home). they didn't ask me whe i sent in my updated transcripts after the interview nor did it hur tmy getting accepted.

i would definately go with the personal enrichment idea that ddsshin suggested.

it won't be a problem as long as there aren't a bunch on your transcript. 🙂
