does anyone have any knowledge about the PASS program about if it's worth it?

What do you want to use it for? Statistics? I used it this past summer to do a Power Analysis (I think) and I haven't touched it since. Unless there is a very specific feature you need that is only offered by PASS, I would suggest that you explore other alternatives out there like SAS, SPSS, JMP.
