PAT HELP!!!

I've been doing PAT practice problems almost every day. I was feeling somewhat confident with the bootcamp generators until I took the bootcamp full practice tests. The keyhole, TFE, and some times the pattern folding are KILLING my score. Today I got a 17 on that section 🙁 I worked so hard I would be crushed if my PAT score on the real DAT prevents my from getting any interviews. I want this so badly!
Anyways, I found the generators to be a lot easier than the tests so I feel like they aren't really preparing me. What do you guys recommend that I do? should I use something other than bootcamp (although I heard CDP is even easier than bootcamp so I don't see that helping). My test is in two weeks and I wouldn't be so nervous if it wasn't for this section!

also, if I get 20s on the other sections but a PAT of 17/18 would that kill my chances of getting accepted. I heard NSU doesn't even look at PAT scores..I sure hope so!

The general consensus is that Bootcamp RC and PAT are much harder than the real exam (most of the time). I think if you're pulling 17s on Bootcamp PAT then you'd probably score a 19 on the real thing. I think a 19 PAT is a safe score for most dental schools. I would be a little worried with anything less than 19, however, I've seen a good amount of people on SDN get less than that and still got accepted to plenty of schools. PAT is not THAT important to most schools, but you can't bomb it. Hope this helps!

Hey I would work on trying to improve your PAT, but just to kind of calm you down - I got accepted to NSU and 4 other schools with an 18 PAT, so I don’t think a lower PAT will put you out of the running. It wasn’t even brought up in any of my interviews

thank you guys for your replies! I sure hope I do decent on that section. My whole life I never had to really use that part of my brain and out of no where I do..I feel like my parietal lobe is like an old industrial machine with cob webs and spiders crawling on it and I'm begging for it to work lol

can I ask when did you apply? I heard NSU is getting more competitive in recent years which worries me

I applied this cycle (2017-2018). I got everything finalized (transcripts rec letters etc) early June. I was accepted Dec 1. Oh and I was supposed to interview sept but because of the hurricane I interviewed in october

No problem! And by the way, I meant I got everything finished early July not June
