Hey all,

I have really been having some trouble with the PAT pattern folding section. With the test soon approaching, I do not have the time to purchase any help materials for this, so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions?

I heard somewhere that you are supposed to imagine folding "into" the table, as opposed to folding towards yourself. I really don't know what to do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.......Thanks in advance!

Crack DAT PAT is all you need to do well on PAT, 10 version is more than enough, even though I though pattern folding was a bit harder on the real PAT, still got me solid 22.🙂

My advice to you is to make sure you can do ALL the problems on CDP. Once you've got a good grip on the basic skills, try to go after some of the achiever problems. Some of the TFE, folding and keyhole problems are on a level of difficulty that borders on the obnoxious.

To help u feel better, I never think too much about this section, since it doesn't even add up with ur AA or any other avrg...schools just wanna see if u have imagination ability so that u don't struggle in their labs...

a score like 19 (or even 18) is great if coupled with a good overall application

hey, thanks guys.

the reason that i'm even retaking the DAT in the first place is because of my PAT score, I had a 19AA, but my PAT was only 17, so I was advised to retake. I think my big downfalls were the pattern folding and then angle ranking as well. On all of my practice, the angle ranking was so easy, then when I got to the real thing, those angles were VERY similar.

Thanks again, and if anyone has any more advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

You could try Barron's. It's PAT is harder overall but very good practice. Not to mention cheap... 20 bucks if I remember right.
