So... The jouney is finally starting to come to an end with the DAT. I have been reviewing material from every section and taking practice test for about 6 months now. On and off sometimes do to undergraduate tests. But i feel pretty confident in some sections. The chemistry and QR on the other hand are a little iffy, but i heard from many people that its easier on the real DAT? I'm not basing my performance on past experiences of other students, but i would like to think that it may be a little easier in those sections. Anyway i just completed the last 3 exams on Topscore, and i obtained 19 20 20 respectively on the PAT portion, my main question is whether this score reflects the same or relatively close score that i may receive on the actual DAT. Input is welcome for individuals who have already taken the DAT and used Topscore as a tool to enhance their capabilities for the PAT. Do you think the Topscore (score) is a good correlation of the real DAT when a student goes to take it??

I had a somewhat similar score on TopScore, and I scored 22 on the real DAT. THe PAT on topscore is well known to be more difficult than the real one. I think the PAT questions they have are a little different from the real DAT (I don't remember how different the questions are cuz it's been awhile since i took it), but they're a good indication to see if you're ready to score well on the real one or not. So if you scored in 19 and 20, I think you're in very good shape, at least in PAT.

I got 21-23 on Topscore PAT and ended up with an 18 on the real thing, doubting you will ever be getting anything beyond 17 on the real PAT based on the mock scores you posted here.

Topscore copied quite a number of questions from the ADA free sample test especially the PAT section, making its PAT problems a great flaw in preparing candidates for the real stuff.

Pay attention to the following great debate on Topscore's unethical plagiarizing on ADA's pretest last summer and you'll know what I mean:

I did the average (+-) base on the scores that people listed here for topscore and the real dat scores. It turned out for the PAT section people went down an average of -2.2 points on the real DAT compare to topscore. For DAT achiever you can go up to 3 points (for dat achiever the calculation is based on only 1 person, for topscore it's the average of 4 people and their actual dat scores). Well, it's just a pattern!
