OK, I have been focusing on my PAT the last couple of days and spent today going through the Barrons stuff. Although the strategies in there are helpful enough, I am so extremely frustrated by what HAVE to be errors in there! I guess they help by making me re-re-re-examine the question, but except for the angle problems where I can trace the angles I have no way to be certain what the correct answer is!

Fine. Annoying but whatever... I should have expected it with Barrons. But then I took kaplan's free practice test online and found even more errors!! I find it hard to believe that there are so many errors -- I must be doing something wrong. But the PAT stuff really just clicks with me and I cannot get past the answers I've selected!! It's driving me crazy and I don't know what to do to gain some confidence in my answers! Has everyone encountered this and do you have any suggestions for error-free practice?

Thanks for the advice,
Mack

That's the common problem with publishers. Considering the sales of DAT materials is not as lucrative as the MCAT, GRE, SAT, ..., you're going to expect these errors to stay for quite a long while. What even sucks is that a lot of the sciences comes directly from their MCAT part, making the course and prep materials not 100% geared to the right contents. Just look at the PAT pictures at the Kaplan's diagnostic test. They are nothing new but paper prints that have some how been scanned into the screens. Those two tests from the blue book have likewise been duplicated in the course syllabus as well.

I thinks Topscore and DAT Achiever are more refined as far as error-free is of utmost concern, at least I know their origination has thusfar been aiming at the DAT alone.

I recommend taking tests from books that explain all the answers.

Kaplan's PAT seems to be pretty low on errors. Yet, it is much easier than the real DAT.
