For the keyhole, the answer for me is either C or E--I'm going with E. What did Achiever say?

I would first look to see if the object on top of the board is centered or off to the side--it looks closer to the far side than the center, so you can eliminate a couple of choices right there.

For the TFE, the answer is A. Look at the dashed lines for the Top and compare it to the answers. The dashed lines next to the square on the top image show that there is some type of change in elevation underneath the top that you cannot see from the top but that you can see from the front. The only answer that matches this is A.

IssaacYankhem--I see your point about B, but I think the little part protruding out is not exactly in the center; yet B shows it in the center. How did you reconcile it as being in the center? I have not done Achiever yet so have not dealt with the tricky keyholes that Achiever has yet.

I finally understand the answers now, but it's frustrating that Achiever doesn't give explanations.

First one is B since if you look at it going down, the only part that is actually sticking out is the projection from the hexagon.

And second one has to be C and not A since the two lines that are running horizontal across the back base have to be dotted since it's a hole that goes through the side and therefore you can't see it from the front, and A has part of the line being solid.

Anyways, just felt like the questions on the Achiever PAT were much harder than CDP, especially since I was doing them right after the SNS portion.

Thanks for the input everyone 🙂

The keyhole question is a great example of what you might run into and a totally fair question. The reason C and E are incorrect is because, when the object is passed through from the "end", the space allotted for the pentagon (which protrudes from the hexagon) is not large enough. B is the only answer choice that accurately allots enough space for the pentagon protrusion to be passed.

And second one has to be C and not A since the two lines that are running horizontal across the back base have to be dotted since it's a hole that goes through the side and therefore you can't see it from the front, and A has part of the line being solid.

This explanation is spot on. When I looked at the image on my phone, I immediately thought "A", but now that I have the bigger image the answer is clearly C. Again, this is an awesome question, Achiever's PAT is the best PAT practice out there.

Good luck OP, just keep practicing and reviewing your answers. I agree, it's frustrating that Achiever doesn't have explanations. You'll stare at some answers for several minutes and won't be able to reconcile why you got it wrong; for those, I didn't give the question much credence.
