Consistently scoring 20's on the PAT section with CDP. What should I do to get the score up? I'm glad its consistent but god damn it its been like 8 practice tests and I continue to get a 20..scored one 19 as well but the rest we 20s. Only thing that has improved is the timing lol. Today I finished with about 7 minutes left but that been the best time. I was expecting todays score to be pretty bad too cause I was doing the test passively. I still have 9 days until this damn test what would any of you PAT experts recommend. I'm looking for advice from those who started out sucking on this section and then improved because that has been the case for me.

Thank you all for you generous input.

Hey, an increase in timing with consistent scores - give yourself a PAT on the back! 😛

Puns aside, if you really want to prepare for the worst case scenario, especially for keyholes and T/F/E problems, Achiever is a good resource. The thing with CDP is that is emphasizes shape over proportions for keyholes (real DAT tends to test more proportions) and it is too easy to eliminate answer choices for T/F/E problems. REMEMBER: the score you get on achiever will most likely be lower than your actual PAT score. Don't get too discouraged - understand your perceptual mistakes, don't obsess over your score.

We also have some beta keyhole problems if you click our link below. Warning - they are a bit on the easier side right now. We're working to make them a bit more difficult to match the difficulty of the exam.

7 minutes left? Holy crap...

With that much time you could review like an entire section over again. Have you tried switching up the order? I bounce around my sections so I can get the quick ones over with spend a bulk of my time on the harder more time consuming problems (for me its top front end)

So as not to waste time I hit up certain sections in the order they appear. I go from keyhole > angle ranking > cube counting > pattern folding > top front end > hole punching.

Hole punching is my easiest so I leave it to the end cuz I usually finish that within like 7 minutes and get 100%. Top front end is the most time consuming so I leave that second to last and really make sure my answer is correct. Angle is my worst by far, no matter how fast or slow I take this section i never get above an 80% i usually average like 60-80%. I tend to do better if I move through angles quicker.

Anyhow, find your groove, and try switching up subject order to see if it helps. By test 8 I hit a 25 and have been averaging 23 on every test after that.

you can bounce like that without losing much time?

im a super fast clicker :naughty:

sike, theres no need to click backwards. you go through the entire test in order and only complete the sections you are fastest at, one you reach the end just click "Review skipped questions" and they all cue up in order for you. Not very time consuming, especially if you have 7 minutes to spare haha

Pattern folding and hole punching finally clicked for me today. I can do those with at least 90% accuracy. So I think I will try to skip Keyhole and TFE. I'm still bad at those. Angle ranking doesn't change anything for me. Scores there are very random. So I will try to get my easy points first.

Angle ranking>cube counting>hole punch>pattern folding>keyhole>TFE
