Hey guys,
I have to retake the DAT
Previous scores:
AA 20
PAT 15
RC 20
QR 15
TOTAL SCIENCE 22
BIOLOGY 23
CHEMISTRY 23
ORGANIC CHEMISTRY 20

I need help with the PAT I have tried everything. Is there any one who has taken /retaken the DAT and has improved there PAT score and if so how. I have a month to improve my score please help. I have Barron's/Kaplan and have scored 19-20 in them. My biggest areas are pattern folding/Apperature passing and angle ranking. Thanks😡 😡

The tricky part is the angles, its lot harder in the real DAT.

My advice, master all the other sections in the PAT, and do your best on the angles.

Tip: "If you compare the tips of the angles to see which one is bigger/smaller... the more shaded the tip is, the smaller the angle. You need good eyes for this."

Good Luck

I dont know if this is considered cheating, but I heard that if you rip the corner of a piece of paper, and fold it into a triangle you get a 45 degree angle. You can use it to compare those angles that differ by only a few degrees. Again, this may be considered cheating, so ask before you use it.

That's a cheating my friend, especially since its not mentioned in the studies for the PAT.

The papers given are for notes, but not for cheating tools.

I agree this is considered cheating. In fact in the procedures sections it was mentioned that the student it not allowed to use any tools including paper and fingers. I don't know why some of the strategies on Barrons in fact tell you to use your fingers. I wouldn't, because of the centers videotape your test taking.

Thats what I thought. I'm surprised to hear that using fingers is cheating. The canadian dat is given on paper, and everyone was using their fingers for the angle ranking.
