Hello everyone,
I need your advice.
I am a Path-assistant with over 100 autopsies under my belt. I work very close with surgeons and Pathologists. My stats 3.1 cum MED-tech school, 3.9 Masters Path assistant school. If I got >28 on my MCAT would I have a good shot at getting into a good med-school? Also, I'm 29 y/o will that be a hinderence?
Your help is appreciated.

Hi drsean, have you completed all med school prerequisites, and did you do well in those courses? How long have you been out of school? And do you have any direct patient-care experience (LIVING PATIENT, that is  )?

Besides doing well on the MCAT, taking some upper division science courses may help, as well as a solid personal statement demonstrating your commitment to a career in medicine and good LOR's...numbers do count, but try to remember that adcoms look at the whole package.

Good luck to you!
