I thought this was great! Most of our patients -- and most other doctors, for that matter -- have no idea about radiation and this video covers.it.all. Way to go Dr. Lawrence (Uncle Teddy!) et al. It features patients, physicians, physicists, dosimetrists, therapists, nutritionists from U of M and Wayne State. I wish we could show this to our patients before the consultation -- it would save a lot of time. Do you have any creative ways to do so in your clinic? Thanks.

Great video and definitely a wonderful patient education tool. Only problem is the patient population featured in the video is not the most diverse. Doesn't quite match the patient population I serve. That said, I'll definitely still use it as an additional reference for patients who have questions about the treatment process.

I think it's great how comprehensive this video is for educating the general population about our field/team-based practice. Kudos to Dr. Lawrence's team! (GO BLUE)

Double chins and bowling pins
Unholy presbyterians
Land is full of medicine
I find it when I'm slipping in
...into Michigan.

Aha, that's what Ted Lawrence looks like... I have read may be 30 of his papers... 🙂

What is this, some kind of lame attempt at bashing Michigan by quoting the Red Hot Chili Peppers? I'll make a wager that the patient population in Detroit, and Ann Arbor, for that matter, is a fair bit more "diverse" than the San Francisco bay area population. 🙄

Sorry if you took offense. I love the Chili Peppers and I thought the "diversity" comment would be a funny way to quote them. Having met Ted Lawrence personally, I have nothing but respect for him and the Michigan program. 🙂

No problem. As a born-and-raised Midwesterner who often vacationed in Michigan as a kid, I am a little hyper-sensitive to midwest sniping of any type, real or perceived. Still, I will contend to the day that I die that people in the midwest are among some of the best in the world... and, incidentally, I believe the drummer from your fave band is from Michigan.
