I am really struggling with pattern folding. I can get some questions right on bootcamp's generator but I don't really have a strategy that works for me consistently. I've looked into other threads and watched Ari's video but nothing seems to help. Any advice or strategies or other resources will be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I struggled at first but just kept using the Bootcamp generator and have gotten better. I start by getting a good idea of what the pattern would look like folded and from there can usually rule out one or two answers. Then it helps me to compare answer choices noting their differences, and then looking for that particular section in the picture and ruling out which one is wrong. Whenever I'm really lost on a certain fold I look for the faces that stand out in the pattern, making sure they're included in the answer. Usually this way I can eliminate at least one answer when struggling.

I'm also struggling in this particular section (more than any other section in the PAT). I've no strategy, and looking out for specific shapes doesn't seem to work on Bootcamp. Suggestions?

There's two kinds of pattern folding questions. There are the ones that are big complicated shapes, and there are partially shaded ones. The complicated ones are easier, in my opinion. All you need to do is find the biggest, strangest piece and look for it in the answers. the shaded ones you need to consider the positions of adjacent shapes relative to the shaded and unshaded areas.
