I have done this when offered as an option (such as online secondaries), but many schools want you to mail in an application with a check. Is it possible to call the admissions office and pay with a credit card instead? I want to get all my secondaries in by the end of the month, but I don't have any more money and I won't get paid for anthoer 2 weeks. I know I can just call the offices tomorrow and ask, but before doing that I wanted to see if anyone here knows about this or has done it before so I don't look like an idiot. Thanks!

i've got the same problem of having no money. i am using those "convenience checks" that come with my credit card statement. just like a check but charged to my card. the cool thing is that they are this 2.9 % rate for the life of the "loan". maybe you could do that? i haven't had any trouble with using these as checks with the schools i have sent them to.

i'd recommend thinking twice about paying for the nyu secondary with a credit card... they're a bunch of ****ups and lost my application after charging my credit card. now they want me to resubmit and repay because "it's not their fault".

besides that, credit cards have worked great for apps.
