I am an incoming pre-pharm student and I am coming in with several AP credits. I decided to accept those AP credits and take higher level courses such as organic chemistry and anatomy. I plan to take the PCAT this October. What can I do to prepare? I already bought an anatomy and physiology textbook and Kaplan PCAT book and finished both. I also have taken an organic chemistry course during my senior year in high school. What else can I do to prepare myself for this test?
I really want to be accepted into LIU's pharmacy school next year and know that I must fulfill all my pre-reqs before summer 2008. What can I do now to boost up my chances in getting accepted, besides aiming for that 4.0 GPA? I know that pre-pharmacy is usually two years, but I am squeezing it into one year due to APs. Thus I am competing with other pre-pharm sophomores to get a spot into that grad school.
Since I am an incoming pre-pharm freshmen applying for a pharmacy school, do you think they will look t my high school transcript and extracurriculars since they have so little to base it on from two terms of college in the near future?
Any advice is welcome and appreciated. Thank you!
