So, basically I've changed from a business major to pre-pharm and the way that my schedule is set up, I could have all pre-reqs completed by next summer. My question is, could I do well on the PCAT by studying using Kaplan and other resources before actually taking the bio and chem classes? I want to take the PCAT in September so that I can apply early. Thanks!

It depends how well you understand the material. Most of the stuff in Kaplan and other resources focus more on general information as oppose to your courses which are more detailed. Have you taken general chemistry and general biology yet?

I am taking both of those this fall. However, I have taken an intro chemistry class while completing classes for a business degree

It will be difficult. I suggest watching videos on youtube like Khan Academy or Bozeman to help you understand the material for Gen Chem and Gen Bio. You have to realize that the subjects that will be on the PCAT is General Biology, General Chemistry, Trig/Algebra/Stats/Calculus, Cell Biology, Microbiology, Anatomy and Physiology, Organic Chemistry, Reading, and Verbal. That's going to be a lot of information you'll have to learn.

I'll definitely check out those YouTube videos, thanks! Looks like I'm gonna have a super fun summer ahead. Thanks for the tips and info
