PCAT preparation?

Hi i'm new to the forums 🙂 i'm planning to take the PCAT in june, and I was wondering from those who've already taken it, what are the best ways to prepare for the test?

- I've ordered the comprehensive review book from Kaplan so i can get a feel for the kind of test this is
- also, I was wondering if online review courses were helpful? or should i just study using books? and if so, which books or resources can you suggest?

Most people will agree that the Kaplan practice tests were much harder than the actual PCAT itself. If you want to get a more accurate feel of the PCAT, you can always take the PCAT practice test online.

I thought Kaplan was very useful for biology and chemistry. In addition, I used pcatprofessor and the practice tests from the harcourt website that the previous poster mentions. My score was >90 on first try, and I think it was mainly the Kaplan and the pcatprofessor, but definately purchase the practice tests if you have the money. You will know what to expect. I was relieved that the questions on the PCAT were just like the harcourt practice test.

Nothing from the PCAT professor was tested. It's because those questions are from the SAT book. Also, nothing from Kaplan was tested, maybe a few conceptual or figures, that's about it. Can you prove honesty on here? i am not here trying to gain, but that's the truth....keep in mind that you/i can't post the actual pcat question on here for comparison...and i am not here to advertise n either, any other questions?

Of course they are incapable of anticipating every single possible question in the realm of math and science. The fact is, they are used to practice doing similar problems and getting faster at them, since a slow pace really kills a PCAT score. You are def wrong about no material being on the PCAT from the Kaplan book by the way. The bio and chem sections were VERY comprehensive of what the PCAT tests. Proof? Well, considering I didnt remember much from Bio I and II, Chem I and II BEFORE reviewing and did extremely well (97, 99 respectively) AFTER reviewing with these supplements Id say there is some correlation between my score and the reviewing.

Cant argue with results.
