PCO interview...advice

For those of you who have been interviewed at PCO....can you please tell me your interview experience....particularly...questions....

Did anyone get anything unexpected???????? Based on what you've seen on these forums??? (IF you looked at the forums for guidance)

They asked me what I do on my free time...what is something im proud of....my interviewer was very nice and made the interview comfortable.

I didnt particularly care for the interview there. Questions, like those Ileen mentioned, were read off of a paper (1 page, both sides). My interviewer asked them, I responded, then there was a couple minute break, while he wrote down notes on what I said. There wasnt a good flow to the interview, based on my previous 3 I had at SCO, ICO, and NOVA-all of which were more conversational and relaxed than they were a serious interview like PCO felt to me. note: could have just been my interviewer.

For being a closed file interview, there were the usual: why optometry, how did you get into the field (the stuff you usually include in your personal statement). There were also many "about the future" questions: "where do you see yourself practicing in 20 years-ei. rural, urban, group, commercial, private, etc", as well as "where do you think the profession will be in 20 years", and "whats the biggest challenge optometrists will be facing in the next few years".

Yeah I think it may have been just your interviewer, mine was very much like a conversation.

Based on your past posts, I don't think you have checked out the "Interview Feedback" since you have asked advice for every single school that you've been invited to. There is plenty of feedback there.
