hey, i just called PCOM and was told that they've filled all their interview spots. interviews end 3/31. they might invite some ppl if spots open up but only if that happens

You think they will refund my secondary fee or is it not even worth the effort? If my application won't even be reviewed then I am hoping they will. What do you guys think??
the alchemist said:i guess u call always call and find out. maybe when the lady told me they were done sending out invites for now, she was counting some that haven't been mailed yet but are slotted for those who applied right b4 the deadline. dunno, best thing would to call and see what your specific situation is in the process. good luck. she did say that they might open up more interview slots if conditions permit (i guess that would mean someone cancels or drops out)

i was in the same boat. I was complete in september and never heard anything from them, or the georgia campus. But, i never even checked to see if I was complete after being accepted to my number 1 choice. I wonder if they are still waiting for something from me, or maybe I just didn't make the cut.christinejane19 said:Hmm.. well, that makes me a little annoyed... my application was complete in october (decent stats - 27 mcat, 3.4 gpa)... and i never heard a word from them in 6 months!
it costs so much to apply, i think its just plain rude not to send a "file complete" postcard, on hold letter, under review, or rejection...some kind of status update, even if its just a generic one...the only reason I knew my app was complete was b/c i called and asked...
makes me wonder if they even read my application, or just deposited my check! ugh... anyways, thanks for listening to me vent !

Wouldn't it be easier for them to just spend the money for postage rather than answer several phone calls a day just to see whether an app is complete? Better yet, if it was available online, that would be 10x better.

DO Sigma Nu guy said:😎 Why don't you guys put all your anger and dissatisfaction towards PCOM for something productive. If the application cycle is over just focus your energy on the next app. cycle.
Or write PCOM a formal letter detailing their admissions problems and how you would fix them. (post cards..etc.)
But then again...I guess it does feel good just ranting.
keep going. 👍 😴
Jamers said:We could start another thread bashing PCOM, hoping that their admissions commt. came on here daily to look at it. Wait, that's already been done you say? Crap, well I tried. I don't like how they delt with the applications either but, I also agree with the above poster. All this writing that has been going on in this thread could have easily been translated to a letter and sent to the school already. Better yet, this letter would have had half a ball hair's of a chance to help out. This thread, however, as pretty as it is, will do nothing. If anyone seriously thinks that PCOM staff comes on here to read the threads you are poorly mistaken. I've said this before and I will say it again; there is only one way to take down an institution or make them change, money. I don't mean to be a dick but, seriously, man up and write a letter guys.
