Anybody have thoughts on advantages/disadvantages of these schools?

Both locations have strong points for me, and I feel I could be equally happy living in either. I'm interested in everyone's thoughts about the schools themselves.

Thanks.

Seeing that you have Gwinnett in your name, do you already live in Atlanta?

I am originally from NY and I attend GA-PCOM. I can assure you that living in NYC will be much much different than Suwanee, GA!! First off the cost of living will be about double in NYC. Expect to pay $2000 for an apt. unless the school has housing or you share with a bunch of people. We have a great, state-of-art campus that is in a nice suburban community that is reasonable to live without breaking the bank. Yet you still have all the draw of Atlanta a half hour drive away (Braves, aqaurium, nightclubs etc.)

Those are the only thoughts I have because I really know nothing about either of the other Touros let alone the brand new one.

Yes, I do. The relocation expense and moving away from family here are concerns, but we have close friends in NY/like the city and my fiance will be able to transfer. NYC would be better for her professionally over the medium/long term.

Go where it'd best suit you. If you enjoyed Harlem and Touro-NY, then by all means go there. Don't go there for someone else though.

As I said above if expense is a concern think VERY carefully about moving to NYC it is the MOST expensive place to live in the country next to maybe LA.

As I'm sure you know, med school is chaotic and you are going to rely on your fiance an unbelievable amount. I'm also sure she totally supports your endeavor but I think you have to support hers also. If she wants to go to NYC and you all can swing the expense, then you should go.👍

Does the answer have something to do with you being WL'ed at PCOM-GA? 🙄
