I've searched all over and can't find much recent input on PCOM-GA vs VCOM (main campus). I'm currently accepted at PCOM-GA, but am at the top of the waitlist for VCOM. So if someone drops out or doesn't show up for orientation next week, VCOM will call me up and I have to say yes/no on the spot. Both are great schools, and tuitions are similar, so I almost feel like it's splitting hairs. Any thoughts?

tuition? location? clinical sites? which appealed to your more during your interview?

Plus, as of now, it's really just PCOM-GA. Debating VCOM is pretty pointless without an official acceptance. Although the fact that you are holding onto the idea of VCOM seems like you want it more that PCOM-GA.

About the only thing they have in common is that they grant DO degrees.

One is rural Virginia on a beautiful VTech campus, the other is in an industrial park just outside Atlanta.

One has been around since 2003, one while fairly new is a campus of 110+ year old school.

One does clinicals in rural to mid-size hospitals; the other does theirs in...duh Atlanta.

I would think you should be able to pick, not like you are talking about sky blue vs baby blue here 🙂

Go where you want to go; but I agree with the poster above if you are even thinking about VCOM days before starting at GA-PCOM that says a lot about where you mind is.

Edited to add: these are 2 of my top 3 pics personally so I'll willingly take either !
