as per another post, thought their dean resigned unexpectedly and that was why pcom is starting late? Anyone have any updated info or news or even verification of this?

My secondaries only went in on 9/12 but I did get a letter recognizing the submission. No other word. My LORs aren't complete though.

There are a number of people in here that have acceptances to a number of places and are still interested in PCOM that have not heard a thing yet. (Yes, we all received the receipt letter that our file was complete.) I'm surprised they are waiting so long. I would think they are going to miss out on a number of top notch applicants who are simply sick of waiting and want to mail in their deposit. Although I have two interviews now (but low stats) I am interested in seeing how much my a PCOM alumnus LOR will help me. PCOM is my first choice and I would think that it would be almost like a slap in the face if they didn't respect the opnion from one of their own. To end this rant, I'm almost 100% positive that there are numerous "first batchers" in here and we'd be the first to know if interviews were sent by PCOM this week.

I actually never received the first letter from PCOM that you guys received regarding my completed application. However, I did just receive an invit to interview this past Saturday. My date is for Wednesday, 6 October. They sure didn't give me much time, only a week and a half notice. They didn't say anything about the dean or the lateness of interviews in the letter. Hope that helps to clear up any confusion (or possibly create more?).

FYI - I sent in my secondary and LORS on August 12-13.

mzafaran, I was notified with a letter in the mail. Before this letter, I had received no correspondence from PCOM at all via any form of mail. Also, I was not an early decision applicant.

Thanx...well congrats..and good luck on the interview...share the good news w/us. 🙂

I still can't believe that you get mail on Saturday... We are getting ripped off up here. I am waiting to PCOM. Hmmmmmmm any time now...

Is this just PCOM or PCOM-Atlanta too you guys are talking about?

Interview for October 6th....that's not much notice at all. Mine is scheduled for the 14th and I thought that was almost too little notice. Anyway good luck to you.

Care to share what the fish bowl is? I have a feeling it has something to do with like three or four people interviewing you at once? If so that must be shweet. No seriously though, what is it?

The fish bowl is a sitting area in the admissions office with glass all around and you look out at the inside entrance/atrium. It is called that b/c when the interviewees(sp) are there everyone who enters the school can see you. I think they built it like that on purpose. The good or bad thing is that while you are waiting to be interviewed people will stop by to wish you luck. Personally I just wanted to be left alone, but that is me. Others liked the words of encouragement.
I was interviewed by three people. Dean of Admissions, a clinician, and a 4th year, but it can range from 1-3 three people interviewing you at once. My interview was short. 15 minutes.

Good Luck
