PCOM open house today

did anybody attend today? The campus is AWSOME. everything is pretty much easy to find. The anatomy lab is really nice. It was fun and I got a lot of questions answered. The wierdest part about the school is how EVERYONE is so nice? I'm from NJ and everyone in NJ just hates eachother. Its kind of an unspoken thing. However at PCOM everybody said hello with a smile. It felt wierd at first but then it started to feel good lol.

If that would only work. Its in our DNA man. I tried to be nice back but it was like I needed to overcome the years of misery NJ has given me lol.

ehh I hope not If I get accepted(god willing) ill def be there for med school. I loved the school Although they def. need a new recruiter. Was not a fan at all.

This maybe true, however recruiters are an extension of the school. He came to my undergrad institution at a graduate school info day. So was paula watkins from UMDNJ SOM. I have to say paula was more polite and more imformed about her own program. I even asked the recruiter from PCOM what the percentage of DO's go into non primary care. He said sixty. Now by my math that means that fourty goes into primary care. Taking a gander at thier website(which you obviously have) youll see sixty five percent go into primary care specialties. Not a bad number. The emmense number of positive attributest the school has to offer blows some of the other osteopathic schools out of the water. However, he knew non of them. Also listening to him give a speach with his representative students was painful. I love the school, they just need someone new to represent the. He has never gone there himself and is probobly 24 years old this is a bad example, especially with a school with so much tradition and name behind its reputation. Look at LECOM bradenton. They sent a recruiter to my school. His name is Ron Berzniak. He is a DO himself and has helped create the new program. He is, from what I heard on the forumn, the guy who writes you your LOR's for residency. IMO you need someone like that or as informed as Paula Watkins was about her own program. This in no way shape or form will sway my decision however, I just think they need someone new in this Dept.

I believe he is a new recruiter. When I was a junior, one of the admissions recruiters left, but she gave a damn good presentation and was very knowledgeable. I agree it looks bad.

Well the truth is what you said is valid. anyone who knows of the school understands how good it is will probobly not care.

Check the schools website. I looked to see if NOVA has an open house and I could not find one. Most of the time you can just hit it up on thier website. If not give the school a call.
