Hello all, I’ve current reached a dilemma with my applications to postbacc. I’ve applied to 3 programs (Quinnipiac, PCOM and Drexel) and I’ve gotten into all three programs. I’ve already reserved a seat in the Quinnipiac program, but it looks like the choice is between Drexel and PCOM. I can’t afford to reserve another seat in either program (especially Drexel) without accepting it, hence the problem.

I’m originally an Osteopathic applicant, and that’s probably the path I’m set on. So it’s PCOM, but I’ve heard very good things about Drexel as well. Hence the conflict. Thanks to all of you for your help! 🙂

I did the PCOM program and will start the DO program in August. It's a very good program. All the instructors also teach in the DO program and the curriculum is almost the same as the first year DO's. My impression is that most people with a 3.0 or higher in the biomed program get into the DO program, however, it's still not necessarily easy. I was waitlisted the first year I applied and accepted the second. I had mostly B's in the biomed program. I feel very well prepared for the DO program.

If you want to be a D.O. go to PCOM's program. Drexel has two programs MSP, and IMS so i'm not sure what Drexel program your referring to. If you did MSP it would prepare you to retake the MCAT and be more competitive for an allopathic program.

Emidsu: I am very interested in the biomed program at pcom. However, I know very little about it. What is the time committment, how many extra hours are you there aside from class, is there time for a part time job? Please fill me in on the details...much appreciated
