I applied to this program at the end of December and I was just marked complete today. Now I'm waiting. Has anyone else applied to this program for Fall 2014 and/or been accepted?
 
Any news?

I'm in the process of applying now waiting on LOR and MCAT score. I'll probably be complete around the end of April. Sucks because I really wanted to apply early 🙁 Anyone else in a similar boat?
 
No news unfortunately. I know GA-PCOM was suppose to make decisions on this past Thursday. So now Im just waiting on the mail. This snow is not helping one bit. Snow = no mail delivery 🙁
 
And then I can't call the school because both campuses are closed due to the snow.

Me too, I have submitted almost everything except my MCAT which I will be taking in April. My application will be complete maybe by the end of May which is really late but hopefully I can still get in

You should as long as your stats are good. They are really behind this year. I applied in Dec and I still haven't received my decision. My app still hasn't been reviewed. smh
 
I heard back, around Feb. 21 - 24, 2014. Those accepted have until March 10 to accept so maybe those of you waiting to hear back will get some good news next week after Monday! I applied back in Oct. also.

How do you like the program so far? I got accepted and was hoping to get some information on the program and how to do well and be successful in the program. Message me please!
 
Applied a couple weeks ago (Philadelphia campus). I'd appreciate any feedback on my chances: 3.41 cGPA, 3.16 sGPA, 24 MCAT. Great recs and a good amount of medical experience.
 
I just submitted my application this week (GA campus) 3.26 cGPA, 3.1 sGPA, and high GRE scores (not taking the MCAT until later - so I'm applying with GRE instead). I know I am pretty late in applying... however, the admissions director told me that they still have 40 out of 70 seats available (GA). Anyone been accepted to the GA program that wouldn't mind divulging their stats?
 
^Speaking of GA campus... Has anyone applied to both campuses?
I already applied to the Philly campus, but I'm thinking about throwing my name into the hat for the GA campus. Do I have to pay a new application fee and write a new application, etc.?

Yes. It will be a new application & fees.
 
My application for this program was just confirmed complete a few days ago. Any idea when I could hear back from admissions? I've been accepted into other SMPs but I like pcom bc it is very close to home so I'm still undecided 🙁

More or less in the same boat. I too would like to know the answer to this question.
 
I received a letter yesterday that said I have been placed on the wait list to be re-reviewed in the weeks to come. Does anyone know if the wait list moves fast?

I took a look at past forums for PCOM classes and I don't think there's an exact science to it because so many factors go into it. I've seen people say they heard in 3 weeks and also people that took months to hear back.

Thanks I couldn't seem to dig up anything about that. I guess I'm not really in any rush to receive a decision on my app but it would give me peace of mind to know where I'm going this summer/fall haha. Good luck to all!

First off, congratulations!

If you don't mind me asking...when did you apply? And how long was your wait until they sent your acceptance (via email or mail)?

I've also applied to this program and clearly my anxiety is kicking in 🙁

Anyone who applied in this program trying to do dentistry? I applied and got in to the PA location.
 
I just received my acceptance today - completed my application last week (Transcripts took forever to be received). I think I received it fairly quick because of how close I live to PCOM. Good luck to everyone else!!!
 
I got my acceptance today too (application completed a week ago)! I'm definitely going to be visiting the campus soon to get a better idea of the campus/neighborhood/program. Anything I should know / look for when I visit?

Sure 🙂 I applied around February but my application wasn't complete until early March. I heard back quite quickly (about 3 weeks) through the mail! Good luck!!!
 
I got my application complete email about an hour ago (for Philly)! Fingers crossed. Has a facebook group been started? I've looked, and I don't see one. I just want to creep.

Hello-I'm seriously considering applying to the Biomedical Sciences program at PCOM-GA, but I'm not interested in going to medical school. What type of work/jobs one can do with a Masters in Biomedical Sciences? I'm currently a Chemist, with a BS degree in Chemistry, minor Math. I'm more interested in the "biological side of Chemistry," if that makes sense, so that it why I'm interested in this program. Thanks!
 
Anyone have any opinion on PCOM Postbacc versus LECOM Postbacc? I'm pretty on the fence, leaning towards PCOM. I've been accepted to both. Thanks all!
 
Unfortunately, due to some financial situations I am going to decline my offer of admissions to PCOM Biomed for this year. Hopefully this will open up a spot for someone else deserving. Good luck to everyone!

I've been accepted to both as well, and after a lot of thinking I've decided to attend PCOM. I think overall it is the experience/program that I am looking for and in the end the right decision for me, even though it was hard to justify financially. I am satisfied with my decision, though!

I was also wondering if there is a PCOM Biomed facebook group? I think it would be helpful for determining housing and such! Congrats to everyone accepted! 🙂
 
I was just accepted to the PCOM Philly program. I will more than likely be matriculating.
 
Has anyone accepted to the program received any information after the acceptance letter?
 
Sorry, I meant about 3 weeks after I submitted my deposit! Once you are able to access the Nucleus, you will be able to submit your FAFSA and a scholarship application. There is also a student housing group in the Nucleus as well!
 
Thanks so much! I thought it would be a little like college application season where you got the aid package before you had to send in the deposit but I guess not.
 
So.. I'm a bit late to the party but how do you know if you're accepted?
They said don't email/call them, which I found odd.

Apparently the GA campus had 25% of their seats still open for the Fall 2014, according to M(r)s. Cannon

You get an acceptance letter in the mail. Took me about a week to get mine
 
Hey Everyone,

So I finished applying last week for the program. I had a question about the personal statement because I think I messed up. Since on the app it said please state briefly why you are applying for the program, I only wrote a paragraph not realizing that it had to be a full page personal statement.

Can anyone share what they did for their personal statement? I think I will have resend mine.

For PS, I basically recycled "Why Medicine" essay and added PCOM-specific details in the last paragraph. My file was completed today, and I hope to hear back from them soon.

Have you applied to any other programs?
