Hi guys..sorry but the search function is down.. (hate the google search on this site).. Anyways i was wondering if PCOM was slow inviting people for interviews? I was looking at the 10 page thread on ppl with interview invites and only a couple got them...what is up with that? I am very interested in PCOM so im getting a little worried without an interview invite or any update on my status..

SO my question is...does PCOM usually wait till a little later to invite people...like NYCOM (they wait till november)...and if not..how many people got PCOM interview invites

I interviewed on 9/19. I think they said they interview ~570 out of 3800 applications for a class size between 250-265.

Good luck.

I think that they are a little slow with the interview invites - I was invited for an interview but the earliest date they had for me was Nov 10th. But as the others said in the previous posts - I guess they have begun interviewing already.

For those of you that interviewed and were from out of state - where did you stay?

I am assuming you aret talking about the Philly campus. I applied there and have been complete for a while. Submitted my apps around 8/20, still no word. I am not from the area (Indiana).

I have 4 interviews right now and if I get accepted to one or a couple of these schools, I am going to withdraw my application there b/c it was my last choice anyway. So that might free up a potential slot.

Here is the timeline for my application at PCOM...I hope this helps...

Completed AACOMAS by the middle of July
PCOM Supplemental was sent to me on August 3 (via snail mail)
I returned the supplemental on August 17 (via snail mail)
PCOM confirmed the completion of my file on August 27 (via snail mail)
PCOM invited me for an interview the week of Septeber 5th (via email)
PCOM interview early October
The admissions office said they would let me know of my status by the end of October. Most of the current students said they heard about their status within two weeks of their interview (via snail mail).

I hope this helps!

I interviewed, but it was only the second inteview group according to the tour guide so all is not lost. However, for anyone who interviewed already (this year or last) how long did PCOM take to get back to you? PCOM is no.1 on my list so I'm kinda anxious to hear from them.

i think it depends on your recommendations. they say do recommendations aren't required but are preferred. i don't have one and i have been complete for a while. i've had two interviews and one on the way already. i'm guessing that's what the cause of the delay is.

I haven't heard from PCOM either - and while I'm not currently a PA resident, I grew up there. I would'a thought being a former resident would mean something... guess not.

wow i haven't even sent my secondary yet i was stalling until the scores come out but I see that I'm behind

I am an MS-I at the philly campus and I can tell you they have been interviewing since early septmeber. I have seen about 7-12 people in the admissions office about twice a week. I wouldn't get too worried yet as it is still early in the game, I interviewed last december and got a letter two days later informing me of acceptance. Best of luck to everyone.

crap..i gotta tell them..that my DO letter of rec is in my premed committee ..totally forgot

hey newbie-did you hear from them yet?accepted?

Are you all complete with PCOM?

I am complete at PCOM, interviewed at the end of sept. just hope I'll find out soon, can't take the suspense much longer. maybe that's part of the app process, test how prospective students deal with stress. guess we'll find out soon.

They said we should hear around the end of October... I called today to ask and the woman that answered the phone said "November."

I am guessing by the end of the third week of Oct.

Anyone have any news about PCOM? I interviewed on 9/29, and I'm still playing the wait-by-the-mailbox game...

They sure weren't slow in cashing my check! But I have to hand it to them, they're WAAAY better than NYCOM.

Last year they seemed to be going slow so I called and asked. Turned out my file was complete but they had, somehow, left it filed as "incomplete" so they weren't even looking at it yet. My phone call got it fixed and I had an interview invite a short time later.

Congrats! I interviewed on the 29th as well but didn't receive anything in the mail today. hope it's just the usps efficiency and not something else.
hopeful for tomorrow.
