Which is better in terms of preparing students for more competitive residencies? I want to practice in NY in the future and am waiting to hear about a decision from NYCOM. If it ends up that I have to choose b/w PCOM and UMDNJ, which would be better for getting a competitive residency in NY?

Both are great schools.

If you want to do your residency and work in NY, then a NY school should be your first attempt...I see you mentioned NYCOM.

Both PCOM and UMDNJSOM are well known in the East. I seriously doubt you will find a difference in your ability to match between these two schools.
