Hey,

I am interviewing at PCOM on the 26th of this month and just wanted to get other's feedback on the school before going. Also, for anyone who lives in/around Philly, what do you think of the location of the school? How are living situations around the school? What are some of your favorite things to do in the city? I am just trying to figure out if its a city I'd enjoy living in. Thanks!!

Excellent school. It was my top choice when I was applying and after 5 years it would still be my top choice.

Strong curriculum, excellent facilities (anatomy lab, activities center, laprascopic simulator, patient simulator).

Very good clinical rotations and even better residency programs.

The school is in a nicer area of the city and there are plenty of places to live within a few miles of PCOM. Rent can range from $1/square foot to 3 times that so be sure to look around. I can always give you the names of some of the more popular apartment complexes.

I have been in the city for close to 10 years now. Though I cant seem to get on the bandwagon with Philly sports teams, the number of clubs, bars, restaurants, museums and other highlights keeps me interested in the city. In fact, I recently moved only 3 miles from center city to be closer to everything.

www.philly.com is a good place to start

Drop me a PM the night before your interview. I will come introduce myself that morning and answer any other questions that you may have.

Hey, I'll be out there with you on the 26th as well. I'm looking forward to see PCOM because it is one of my top choices.

See if you can stay with a student (or friend/relative if you have one) before the interview. PCOM is just outside of philly. I live in center-city now...there is plenty to do. Moving there after going to a small NE private undergrad wasn't a bad transition at all

I'll be giving the tour on the 26th so Ill try not to disappoint
