What PDA do you recommend? My smart phone was broken and I don't want to get another one until my contract ends. I am just planning to get a PDA alone instead of getting another smart phone anymore.

Thanks

My iPhone cost about 200 dollars and has been 10x better and more reliable compared to my previous smartphone which was a palm pro phone that cost over 600 dollars at the time. I can't imagine having to carry around to phone sized objects. I would think the plain PDA alone is on the road to being completely obsolete.

The only stand-alone PDA out there worth getting these days is an iPod Touch. Get a 32 or 64GB version. You don't need to get the latest version to get the goods that you probably need for use as a medical PDA device.

Samsung Galaxy S Wifi could be nice too, if you're looking for more screen real estate. They're coming in 4" and 5", but aren't out yet.

Second the iPod Touch. Really the only credible PDA these days.

Thank you all. I will look those PDAs that you mentioned. I am also looking to get a PDA phone without discount and not to pay the data plan. Unless I change another provider, my phone internet is not working at work; I was just paying for the data plan because I have a smart/PDA phone.

Thank you again.

I agree with J-rad get the ipod touch or suck it up and get the I phone, in my experience nothing else comes close.

Oh! I just looked the 4th generation iPOD, the 32 GB is like $274. Just to make sure, do I need any software to download in order to use it as PDA?

Thanks

No, it comes with calender, contacts, email, notes, etc. Many medical programs are free as well.

The iPhone 3GS I bought two years ago is the single greatest educational and resource tool I've ever owned. Hands down. It does everything, and is also a phone. Can't be beat IMO.

I use it to access Lexi-Comp, UpToDate, Epocrates, etc...multiple times daily.
