Did you even read the article?? It’s actually well written synopsis. It’s written by investment firm specializing in this space so sure paints a fairly rosy picture but wouldn't call it garbage.

The only data points included in the article are that LASIK has grown and the invasion of PE in ophthalmology has grown.

Everything else there is wishful thinking. There is no support for their claims that they can improve practices by scaling -- be it better purchasing, better rebates, better contracts, etc. Hence - propaganda.

LASIK has in fact not grown. Laser vision correction is down. Way down. Everybody in the industry knows that. These guys are just making **** up.

Yeah that alone should've been a red flag. Don't even need a study to know the real money so far is in MF IOLs right now. Seeing a lot of PE copium lately; there must be additional sales coming down the road.
