Ped Heme/Onc job market

Just out of curiosity how does the Ped Heme/Onc job market look now and in the future? Especially compared to Adult Heme/Onc?

Are most jobs academic? How common are private group practices?

I'm sure there are jobs available. Though strangely, I've heard the pay is at par (or even below) general peds.

I am in this field.

The pay for Adult (IM) Heme Onc is significantly higher than for Pedes Heme Onc.
The job marked for Adult Heme Onc is also better. More adults develop cancer than children so this makes sense.

Yes, some Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologists are paid less than General Pediatricians. It varies widely based on geography.
