Hi all, new poster here (my husband's been posting on these forums for >5 years though)

I was hoping we can start a thread about Peds Cardiology interviews. I'm applying this year.

If we could get to know what programs sent interviews/rejections I think it'll lessen the anxiety just a bit..(Shouldn't be too difficult there are only 48 programs)

I'll start:

Interviews from:
U Florida (Gainesville)
U Michigan
Advocate Christ

Rejections
Cincinnati
Rush (Grrr!)

Haven't heard from about 15 other programs, Would appreciate your contribution.

I have heard (and got interviews) at:
Michigan
Milwaukee
Cincinnati
Duke
Vanderbilt
Sibley (Emory)
Pittsburgh
MUSC (South Carolina)

Waiting to hear from:
Denver
Virginia (UVa)
DC Children's

Good luck.

Thanks for the response, Cards, I was starting to think I was the only one out there!

Since I last posted, I also got interviews from Minnesota and Children's Hospital of Michigan.

Hello everybody,
I haven't heard from some programs. Is it too late or are there programs still looking at applications. Any one heard from Memorial or Columbia.

Hi

I don't know if anyone looks at this thread anymore but if you do...could you answer a question for me?
What is a day in the life of a pediatric cardiologist like? I'm a third year medical student interested in peds cardio, but I don't have a cath lab or cardiac ICU at my school. The peds cardiologists at my school just have clinic and do consults.

Thanks,
Sk
